Despite What You’ve Heard, Global Warming Isn’t Making Weather More Extreme

By Investors Business Daily – Re-Blogged From http://www.WattsUpWithThat.com

Climate Myths: We keep reading about how the extreme weather of 2017 is the “new normal” thanks to global warming — even if the weather in question is frigid air. But the data don’t show any trend in extreme weather events in the U.S. for decades. Science, anyone?

The latest to make this “new normal” claim is Munich RE, which issued its annual report on the damage costs from hurricanes, floods, wildfires and the like on Thursday

Climate Progress, Joe Romm, Outed as Political Operative by Wikileaks

WIKILEAKS: ThinkProgress Trashes A Climate Expert’s Career To Appease A Hillary Donor

Posted By Michael Bastasch (Daily Caller) – Re-Blogged From http://www.WattsUpWithThat.com

ThinkProgress Editor in Chief Judd Legum sent an email to a billionaire donor bragging how the liberal blog’s environmental writer targeted a climate researcher who challenged a major Democratic talking point on global warming, according to leaked emails.

The blog’s environmental arm, ClimateProgress, (run by Dr. Joe Romm) took issue with pollster Nate Silver’s 538 website, hiring Dr. Roger Pielke, Jr. to write about global warming issues. Pielke is no skeptic of man-made warming, but he challenged a Democratic talking point that global warming was making extreme weather more severe.

“Deniers” in Their Midst – All is Not Well in Nobel Prize Land

By Anthony Watts – Re-Blogged From http://www.WattsUpWithThat.com

A couple of days ago we reported on the Mainau Nobel Conference, on Friday, 3 July, over 30 Nobel laureates assembled on Mainau Island on Lake Constance signed a declaration on climate change. Problem was, there were 65 attendees, and only 30 signed the declaration. As is typical of the supression of the alternate views on climate, we never heard the opinion of the 35 who were in the majority. Today, one of the nobel laureates who was an attendee has spoken out.

Weekly Climate and Energy News Roundup #176

The Week That Was: April 11, 2015 – Brought to You by www.SEPP.org The Science and Environmental Policy Project

Climate and Health: By using the Freedom of Information Act, Chris Horner, of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, obtained an email addressed to “Richard Winsor” the imaginary employee of EPA used by Lisa Jackson as a disguise for receiving and sending email. The particular email in question, dated March 18, 2009, discussed strategic communications and suggested EPA shift its tactics from emphasizing the weakening science of global warming to the fear of pollution, especially air quality, with emphasis on the EPA’s Children’s Health Office. As discussed in the February 7 and February 14 TWTWs, the EPA has done this, making many highly questionable claims about respiratory diseases, such as asthma, even though the causes are not known and the disease may be greatly over-diagnosed, not only in the US but in England as well. TWTW cited research that made the claims dubious, at best.

When is Weather Extreme?

cropped-bob-shapiro.jpg   By Bob Shapiro

Climate Change Alarmists like to scan the weather news for new weather records being set, especially flashy records like Boston’s recent “Heaviest snowfall during a 30 day period.” To this group, every record is proof of their Extreme Climate predictions.

But, what this group fails to understand – or fails to tell the truth about if the DO understand – is the likelihood that records will be set.
