ICE Ups Ante in Standoff w/ NYC

‘This city’s sanctuary policies…are the sole reason this criminal was allowed to roam the streets…’

Federal authorities are turning to a new tactic in the escalating conflict over New York City’s sanctuary policies, issuing four “immigration subpoenas” to the city for information about inmates wanted for deportation.

“This is not a request — it’s a demand,” Henry Lucero, a senior U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official, told The Associated Press. “This is a last resort for us. Dangerous criminals are being released every single day in New York.”

There are at least 900 confirmed cases of mumps among illegal immigrants being held at the southern border, according to a new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report.

Over the past year, diseases along the southern border have skyrocketed as waves of immigrants flood the U.S. seeking asylum.

Outbreaks of mumps spiked between March and June, when high numbers of immigrants were arriving at the border.

So far, 898 individuals have been diagnosed with mumps among 57 detention facilities in 19 states, the report says. An additional 33 cases occurred among border patrol staff members.

Most of the Brutally Violent MS-13 Members Arrested in L.A. Were ILLEGALS

By Claire Russel – Re-Blogged From Liberty Headlines

‘Victim was dismembered and his body parts were thrown into a canyon…’

Nearly all of the members in an MS-13 gang charged with slaying seven California residents were illegal aliens, according to law enforcement.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles charged 22 people affiliated with MS-13, a violent gang known for brutal crimes and drug peddling, for murdering residents with machetes, bats, and knives in the Angeles National Forest.

Are Democrats Colluding with the Mexican Drug Cartels?

[This is an opinion piece. I have not verified the facts laid out, although I expect much of it is true. -Bob]

By

The Democrats’ and President Trump’s positions on the wall are diametrically opposed.  Hillary Clinton insists: ‘There’s No National Emergency At Our Border’*; while the President insists we have a National Crisis.

Obviously, someone is lying.  Just consider the facts:

Drug Cartels have turned Mexico into an extremely dangerous and violent country.  In 2018, Mexico suffered 40,000 murders. A Mexican Mayor was shot and killed the day he took office.  Just today, Hugo Figueroa, a cattle rancher was kidnapped, tortured, tied up and then killed. In 2018, Cancun had 540 homicides.  Last week, dismembered body parts were dumped outside the Mayor’s office.  In January 2019 alone, there were another 30 executions in Cancun.

Drug Cartels bribe Mexican Politicians and get co-operation in return:  In a NY Court, El Chapo’s accountant admitted they regularly bribe Mexican politicians; and that  they paid a $100 million bribe to former President Enrique Pena Nieto The Mexican Government, in turn, colludes with the Cartels; provides temporary visas, food and housing for the illegals; and clears the way for the busses to bring them to our border.

Fear of Terrorists Infiltrating Southern Border Is Very Real

MURDOCK: Replace Obamacare with National Market for Health Insurance   By Deroy Murdock – Re-Blogged From Liberty Headlines

‘Why let even one terrorist breach the border and leave his own bloody mark?’

True or false: Federal agents have caught terrorists on the southern frontier.

True!

Meet nine of them:

  • Abdullah Omar Fidse walked across a bridge over the Rio Grande, from Reynosa, Mexico, to Hidalgo, Texas, in June 2008. He requested asylum, claiming to be a Somali refugee. While in custody for years as officials weighed his case, Fidse told another detainee that he supported al-Qaeda and al-Shabab. His cellphone memory card included the telephone number of Mohamed Suleiman, subsequently arrested for aiding a 2010 al-Shabab suicide-bomb attack in Uganda, which killed 70 soccer fans. Fidse eventually admitted to an undercover informant: “We are terrorists.” As the Center for Immigration Studies’ Todd Bensman reports, Fidse “believed all good Muslims must commit two acts of jihad a year.” U.S. officials scotched Fidse’s asylum claim, prosecuted him for lying to federal agents, and sent him to prison for eight years.

DOJ to Sue California to Strike Down ‘Sanctuary’ Laws as Unconstitutional

By Ian Mason – Re-Blogged From Breitbart

Update: DOJ filed its complaint, motion for preliminary injunction, and supporting exhibits shortly after 9 PM Eastern Tuesday.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions will speak Wednesday about his Department of Justice’s (DOJ) first-of-its-kind lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of three of California’s “sanctuary” laws, Breitbart News has learned.

Relying on both federal statutes and the U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy Clause, DOJ will ask the U.S. District Court for the District of Eastern California to issue a preliminary injunction blocking the enforcement of these laws intended to protect illegal aliens by preventing cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. DOJ will also seek declaratory judgement that these laws are unconstitutional – “preempted” by federal immigration law – when it files late Tuesday night.

Look What Hungary did that Erased Their Illegal Immigration Problem Within Months

Re-Blogged From Eagle Rising

BUDAPEST, Hungary — When other countries welcomed refugees with open arms, Hungary decided it was time to eradicate illegal immigration at any cost.

The country succeeded, but that success damaged relations with the European Union in the process.

Hungary’s second border fence has just been completed in the southern town of Asotthalom. The 96-mile long, 14 ft. tall double-line of defense doesn’t look too intimidating from a distance. Go a little closer and you’ll notice several layers of razor-wire capable of delivering electric shocks, cameras, heat sensors and loud speakers ready to tell migrants they’re about to break Hungarian law if they as much as touch the fence.

A Conservative Immigration Agenda

(Here’s some food for thought on the immigration issue. Please note: there are several items that I have issue with! However, other suggestions may be worth incorporating in our plans going forward.  -Bob)

By Conn Carroll – Re-Blogged From http://www.townhall.com

When it comes to immigration reform, we all know what conservatives are against. We are against the 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. We are against the 2013 Gang of Eight bill. And we are against the 2014 Deferred Action for Parental Accountability program.

But what are we for? The system is clearly broken. It takes way too long for law-abiding immigrants to become citizens, the wealthy and powerful game the system for their friends, and, now that the economy is revering, the number of illegal immigrants is rising again.
