Trump Is Completely Remaking A Law Enviros Often Use To Stymie Oil Pipeline Construction

President Donald Trump announced Thursday his plans to dramatically change an environmental law activist groups and their attorneys often use to wrap oil projects in years of bureaucratic red tape.

Trump plans to exempt privately funded projects from undergoing environmental reviews, a significant change that would make building mines and pipelines much easier, The Washington Post reported. Energy producers are cheering the move.

Trump to Sign “Energy Independence” Executive Order, Killing Obama Climate Regs

President Donald Trump will issue a sweeping “energy independence” executive order today to dismantle signature global warming policies put in place by the Obama administration.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt told ABC News Trump would issue the order tomorrow to make “sure that we have a pro-growth and pro-environment approach to how we do regulation in this country.”

“The executive order is going to address the past administration’s effort to kill jobs across this country through the Clean Power Plan,” Pruitt told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos of the “energy independence” executive order on Sunday.

Vale Roger Cohen PhD RIP: We have lost a friend. Among his many accomplishments, Roger Cohen was a leader of the Exxon research team who knew that the guesses made by climate modelers were exactly that – guesses. They were not scientific predictions or knowledge. Apparently, many politicians, including attorneys general, cannot comprehend the difference among scientific guesses, predictions, and knowledge.
